About the Conference

Presented by the Educational Technology Committee (ETC), Advancing Learning is Ontario's leading educational technology conference for practicing post-secondary educators. Each year, one of Ontario's 24 public colleges hosts the event, providing an opportunity for faculty, instructional designers, multimedia specialists, education developers, and academic leadership to collaborate, share, and learn about topics related to innovative educational technology and its use in the classroom to advance higher education.

About the Educational Technology Committee (ETC)

As a subcommittee of the Coordinating Committee of Vice-Presidents, Academic (CCVPA), the ETC is a network of representatives from each of Ontario's 24 public colleges who are directly involved in the practice, support and applied research of technology enhanced teaching and learning. They share of ideas, best practices, and teaching and learning strategies related to the use of technologies inside and outside of the classroom.

The 23rd Advancing Learning Conference
Hosted by the Educational Technology Committee (ETC)

The Educational Technology Committee (ETC) with support from various post-secondary institutions in Ontario (including Algonquin College, Conestoga College, Fleming College, Loyalist College, Northern College, Seneca Polytechnic, and last year's host, Durham College), is proud to virtually host the 23rd Advancing Learning Conference, Envisioning Tomorrow: Generating the Future Together. This year's theme provides a platform for practicing educators to explore how educational technology has become a catalyst for transformative learning experiences in the classroom, turning students into leaders who are forward thinking, industry ready, and community oriented.

During Envisioning Technology: Generating the Future Together, educators from across the province are encouraged to engage in meaningful conversations, share best practices, and explore cutting-edge tools that enhance face-to-face, online and HyFlex teaching and learning experiences in post-secondary institutions across Ontario.

The 22nd Advancing Learning Conference
Hosted by the Centre for Teaching and Learning, Durham College

Paths to Reinvention, pays tribute to the different ways in which educators and institutions have created and leveraged new approaches to teaching and learning coming out of the pandemic. We will visit the lessons learned from pandemic remote delivery that is here to stay and explore the resulting reimagined and reinvented approaches to face-to-face, online and HyFlex teaching and learning.
